Hi, I’m Tamela! And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that they just don’t make food like they used to.

I grew up surrounded by incredible women who knew their way around a kitchen. My mother, grandmother, and the women before them passed down recipes that have been in our family for more than 100 years.

NOW, I’M SHARING THOSE TREASURES WITH YOU

Somewhere along the way, I think we’ve lost a little of the magic that happened around the dinner table. I’m hoping to bring some of that magic back.

Some recipes call for butter, sugar, flour, and all those good old-fashioned ingredients. I’m not going to pretend every recipe is health food. These are the recipes my family made.

Some dishes are for everyday meals. Others are for holidays, birthdays, and Sunday dinners, when everyone gathers around the table.

FOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT MORE THAN EATING

It’s family. It’s memories. It’s keeping a little piece of the people we love alive through the things they taught us.

So pull up a chair, grab your apron, and make yourself at home.

With love, Tamela ♡
